Jewel of the Baroque, the Chapel of the Pious Congregation of Bankers and Merchants, was designed by Pellegrino Tibaldi, construction began in 1577.
The frescoed vaults were made by Stefano Maria Legnani.
The chapel contains several artistic testimonies in Baroque style, the most famous object is the universal astronomical calendar.
Between 1831 and 1835 Giovanni Plana designed and created a mechanical calendar that contains data relating to tides, holidays and moon phases from the year 1 to the year 4000.
